xApps Analytics: Information - Analyses - Decisions
As everyone now knows, information has become the decisive production factor in company operations. This is why so many IT solutions have been developed in the last few years, which focus on integrating and homogenizing data, analyzing it to distill the information it contains, and thus turning it into a solid basis for well-founded decision making.
So far so good - but where, when and to whom is this information available?
As a general rule, information is still held in a company’s own, central information system and must be actively retrieved and integrated into work processes. But what happens when it is not clear which information is available, which information is important in making certain decisions, and how and where this information can be accessed?
The result is extra effort, a loss of valuable time, and decisions made on a dubious basis. And all these things constitute a considerable economic risk.
How can efficiency be increased, decision-making risks minimized and my company’s success secured in the long-term?
The solution is simple. The information must not only be made available - it must be integrated into processes so that it becomes an inherent part of these.
To achieve this some hurdles must first be overcome. A precondition is that company-relevant data is clearly defined and that it is already held in a central data warehouse.
What is still missing?
There is no clarity on which information is relevant to which decisions and no consolidation of processes and information.
